Are You Scared of LOVE?

I’ll be here waiting for ........LOVE!!!! As I sat down to write today, Anticipation by Marsha Abrosius  was the first song to play on my iTunes....The feeling and emotion expressed in this 8 bar interlude are beyond powerful. We are all waiting for LOVE.....Anticipating Love.....Love by definition is a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. Love is what we all crave in some way shape or form. Whether it be from a mother, father, sister, friend, lover etc...we all want and need love! The feeling of  romantic LOVE however, is like no other....it makes us glow, makes our heart smile, make us insane at times!  We get our first taste of this euphoria in our preteen years....also know as PUPPY LOVE!!! From that first hit we are hooked, but somewhere along our life's path our attitude towards LOVE changes. Many will say, "FUCK LOVE, I don't need it or want it!!!" LIES, LIES, LIES......everyone wants to be loved! However, many of us have been so hurt by past relationships, our hearts are so guarded we become our own worst enemy. We have lost the ability to trust, the ability to give people a chance to show us love! Often times we mask this hurt by being promiscuous, womanizers, or becoming serial daters... all in an effort to keep people away from our hearts! Putting up the facade that we don't want anyone special in our lives, when ultimately many crave it, they just don't know how to accept love! We often feel unworthy of love, or we don't love ourselves enough,  therefor making it impossible to love or receive love from someone else!  This feeling of unworthiness is what keeps many people in loveLESS, even abusive relationships,  they feel they don't deserve better!

give love and the good that it makes you!
true love can never really forsake you
but it took a little while just for me to see!

Loving someone whole heartedly is a scary thing, especially when u see reports of infidelity and betrayal all around you! Once we realize we are worthy of love, we will accept nothing less and weeding out the frauds becomes as easy as breathing!  I urge you to love in spite of....even if your heart is broken, even after you've been lied to or betrayed. Those heartaches are lessons, and you will be stronger for the ONE person who won't hurt you! When you find love embrace it, don't run from it, as you may end up regretting it! Love in spite of.......
